Andrew J. Patykula

Andrew J. Patykula has nearly twenty years of experience with FHA’s mortgage insurance programs.  He is a HUD-approved Underwriter for the Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) program and has participated in Lean healthcare underwriter training in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2017.  Prior to joining Sims Mortgage Funding, Inc. in 2003, Andrew served as a Fixed Income Trader at HJ Sims, our parent company, where his responsibilities included trading and underwriting municipal bonds and other fixed income debt instruments.  He has over 30 years of experience in the capital markets with particular expertise in municipal bond trading, underwriting, sales and portfolio management.

Andrew’s responsibilities include underwriting and processing of FHA-insured loan applications, with an emphasis on affordable housing and Section 202 recapitalization loans.  He also conducts financial analyses and up-front evaluations of prospective transactions. 

Andrew earned his BS degree, with a concentration in Finance, from Trenton State College, now known as The College of New Jersey.
